10 Questions People Ask Us Before Buying an NFC Card

Before anyone buys an NFC card from us, there is usually a WhatsApp conversation, and the same ten questions come up again and again. Fair enough — this is still a new product for most people, and nobody should spend money on something they half understand.
So here are the actual questions people ask us before buying an NFC card, answered the way we answer them in chat: directly. If your question is not on this list, the number at the end reaches a person, not a bot.
Will it work on the other person's phone?
On every modern iPhone and every Android with NFC, yes — the tap shows a notification and your profile opens in their browser. Some budget Android models skip NFC, which is why every card also carries a printed QR code; the camera scans it and reaches the same profile. Between tap and QR, effectively every phone is covered.
Do we both need an app?
No. Neither of you installs anything. The profile opens in the browser the other person already has, and you edit your details from a dashboard that also runs in a browser. There is no app on either side of a TapAll card, and the person you meet never creates an account or signs into anything.
What if I meet someone with a very old phone?
Show them the QR code on the card, or simply tell them your number the old way — the card does not stop you from doing anything you did before. In practice the QR handles nearly every non-NFC phone, since any phone with a camera and a browser can use it.
What happens when my number or designation changes?
You edit your profile in the dashboard, and the card is instantly up to date. The chip stores only a link; your details live behind that link online. This is the single biggest difference from printed cards — no change ever requires touching, rewriting or replacing the physical card.
What if I lose the NFC card?
You lose the object, nothing more. The chip carries no private data — just the link to the public profile you show everyone anyway. Whoever finds it can view that profile and nothing else; your dashboard login stays with you. You order a replacement and carry on, and nobody who saved your contact is affected.
Does the card need charging?
No. There is no battery inside. The chip is passive and draws a moment of power from the phone during the tap itself. There is nothing to charge, switch on, pair or update — the card is as ready in year three as it was on day one.
Is it safe? What exactly is on the chip?
One short web link, the same one inside the QR code. No payment details, no passwords, no contact list. A tap cannot take money — visiting card chips are not part of any payment system — and cannot pull anything from the other person's phone. It shows a notification, and the person chooses whether to open it.
Can I see how many people viewed my profile?
Yes, simply. The dashboard shows taps and views, so after an expo you can tell whether the card actually got used or just admired. It is a plain count, not a surveillance system — useful mainly for knowing which events were worth your time.
What can I put on the profile?
Contact numbers, WhatsApp, email, your website and portfolio links, payment links, and social handles — arranged as one page a stranger can act on in seconds. Most people start with a number, WhatsApp and one work link, then add the rest from the dashboard as the need appears.
What does it cost and how do I order?
The Premium NFC Business Card is ₹1,199 and is the one product you can buy directly at tapall.in, with UPI at checkout. The rest of the range — keychains, Google review cards, restaurant table cards, corporate employee cards and event badges — is handled as a simple WhatsApp enquiry, because those usually involve quantity or branding details worth a short conversation.
That is the honest list. If your doubt is more specific — your industry, your city, your uncle's phone — message us on WhatsApp at +91 97133 49930 and ask. The answers above came out of those chats in the first place.
