NFC Cards for Caterers and Home Chefs

The tasting went well. The family has finished the paneer, the uncle who came only to judge the dal has gone quiet in a good way, and now the client's neighbour — who happened to drop in — is asking whether you also do smaller functions, and what a fifty-person menu costs. You promise to WhatsApp her the menus tonight. You will forget, or she will. An NFC card for caterers closes that gap on the spot: tap it on her phone, and your menus, photos and WhatsApp button are already with her before you have packed the tiffins.

For a caterer or a home chef, this scene repeats everywhere. Your best marketing has always been someone else's party.

The counter at someone else's function

Guests eat your biryani and ask the host who made it. The host half-remembers your name and promises to forward your number, which happens about half the time. If you or your serving staff are at the counter, a tap fixes this at the source — the guest gets your full profile directly, saved right, while the jalebi is still warm and the goodwill is at its highest.

Home chefs get the same moment in different clothes: the neighbour who tasted your Sunday special through a shared dabba, the school-gate conversation about who made the birthday cake, the society festival stall.

Printed menus age badly. Paneer prices move, a dish gets dropped, you add a Jain menu for a client and suddenly want to offer it to everyone. Reprinting a menu card every time is money down the drain, so most caterers walk around with outdated printouts and a lot of verbal corrections.

The TapAll card works differently. The chip stores only a short link; your actual details live in your profile, which you edit from the dashboard whenever you like. Link your menus there — the wedding package, the birthday package, the weekly tiffin plan — and when winter rates come in, you change them once. Every card you have ever tapped now shows the new menus. Nothing gets reprinted, and nobody quotes you last season's price back at you.

From tap to order on WhatsApp

Food orders in India happen on WhatsApp, full stop. The enquiry, the guest-count haggling, the "thoda less spicy" note — all of it. So the most important button on a caterer's digital visiting card is the WhatsApp one. A guest taps your card at a function, opens your profile at home two days later, and starts the order chat without hunting for your number.

Add a payment link and the advance lands without you dictating account details over the phone. Add your Instagram or a photo gallery and the client scrolls your live counters and dessert tables while deciding. For a home chef, that gallery is often the whole sales pitch.

Festival season is where this compounds. Navratri, Diwali, the December wedding rush — orders stack up in the same six weeks, and the enquiries that arrive as clear WhatsApp messages with the menu already seen are the ones you can actually quote and confirm between two deliveries.

Which TapAll product fits a kitchen business

For tastings and client meetings, the Premium NFC Business Card is the one to carry — a PVC card, so it stays presentable even after months in an apron pocket, and buyable directly at tapall.in with UPI.

There is a second card worth knowing about. The Google Review NFC Card, at ₹1,099, does one job: the customer taps it and lands directly on your Google review page. Kept at the billing counter, or handed over when a tiffin client collects their dabba, it catches people at the exact moment they are happiest with you. Reviews are what make a stranger trust an unknown kitchen, and asking for them in person, with the page already open, works far better than a follow-up message ever does.

One honest note: some very old phones do not have NFC, and that is what the QR code printed on the card is for. Same profile, one scan, no one left out.

Your food already does the convincing. Give the person asking for your number a way to actually keep it. Message us on WhatsApp at +91 97133 49930 for the review card, or pick up the premium card at tapall.in/products.
