Restaurant NFC Table Card: Menu and Reviews in One Tap

It is 8.45 on a Saturday night. Every table is full, two families are waiting near the door, and the guest on table six has had her hand up for a menu for four minutes. Your staff are good. There are simply not enough of them for this particular hour.
A restaurant NFC table card takes a few jobs off their plate at exactly that hour. It is a small card that sits on the table, and when a guest taps it with their phone, your menu and review links open in their browser. No app to install, no waiting for a waiter to come free.
What the NFC table card does
The TapAll Restaurant NFC Table Card is a tap-and-open card for tables and counters. The chip inside carries a short link to a profile you control. Most restaurants set the profile up with the menu first, then a Google review link, and often a WhatsApp number for bookings and takeaway orders. A QR code is printed on the card for phones without NFC — and among your guests, there will always be a few of those, so it matters.
At ₹299 per card, covering every table usually costs less than one round of reprinting laminated menus.
The laminated menu problem
Nobody talks about this, but every restaurant owner knows it. Laminated menus get sticky. They get wiped with the same cloth that wiped the table, they curl at the corners, and after a monsoon of daily use they look tired in a way guests notice and never mention to you.
They also freeze your prices. When supplier costs move, you either reprint the whole set or paste little stickers over the old rates, and both options look exactly how they sound.
A menu behind a tap is edited from the TapAll dashboard in minutes. Change a price today, mark a dish unavailable at 9 pm, add a festive special for the Diwali weeks — the card on the table never changes, because it only ever held the link. Guests always see the current version, and they see it on their own clean screen instead of a laminated sheet that has survived three hundred dinners.
When staff are slammed
Back to Saturday night. The guest who wanted a menu taps the card instead, decides faster, and is noticeably less irritated, because the part of the wait she could control has shrunk to nothing.
That is the honest pitch for the table card. It does not replace service. It absorbs the small requests that pile up when service is stretched — seeing the menu, finding your Instagram, getting the number to book a table for next weekend. All of that stops needing a staff member's attention at the exact hour when staff attention is the scarcest thing in the building.
Reviews while the food is still warm
The second job the card does is reviews. The best moment to ask for a Google review is right after a good meal, at the table, while the feeling is still fresh. By the time the guest is home and the phone comes out for other things, the moment has passed.
With the review link on the table card, your staff can say something natural as they clear the plates — if you enjoyed it, the card on the table goes straight to our review page. The guest taps and lands there in seconds. Not everyone will write one, and no card changes that. But the guests who genuinely loved the meal now have a ten-second path instead of a search they were never going to do.
Small honest caveats
A table card is not an ordering system — guests see the menu on their phone, but orders still go through your staff, so your service flow stays exactly as it is. Cards on tables also occasionally walk away or take a beating from a toddler with a water glass; they are inexpensive enough that a few spares in the counter drawer solves this completely.
The TapAll dashboard shows taps and views per card, so within a couple of weeks you will know whether the cards are being used or just decorating the tables. Restaurants usually find the answer varies by table and by hour, which is itself useful to know.
Getting your tables ready
The festive months from October onward are when Indian restaurants run fullest, which makes right now the sensible time to set this up — not the middle of your busiest week. Message TapAll on WhatsApp at +91 97133 49930 with your table count and what you want behind the tap, and the team in Indore will help you plan cards for the whole floor. Shipping is across India.
