What to Put on Your Digital Business Card

A digital business card can hold far more than a paper one ever could, which is exactly why it is worth being thoughtful. Deciding what to put on your digital business card is really about choosing what helps someone act, not just what fills the space.
Start with the essentials. Your name, your role, and the business you represent should be immediately clear. Add the ways you actually want to be contacted, such as a phone number, an email, or a WhatsApp button. If people usually reach you one particular way, put that first so the choice is obvious.
The links that earn their place
Next, think about your website and your key social profiles. A creator might feature Instagram and YouTube, while a consultant might lead with LinkedIn and a booking link. You do not need every platform, only the ones where you are active and want attention. A crowded card is harder to act on than a focused one.
Beyond contacts, consider what to put on your digital business card that moves a relationship forward. A portfolio link, a product catalogue, a payment or UPI link, a Google review page, or a short intro video can all belong here depending on your work. The goal is to answer the visitor's likely next question before they ask it.
Keep it clean and current
Presentation matters. A clear photo or logo, a short line about what you do, and a sensible order of links make the card feel trustworthy in seconds. Avoid dumping everything on one screen. Lead with the two or three actions you most want people to take.
One of the biggest advantages is that a digital card is editable any time. Changed roles, new number, fresh campaign, or a seasonal offer, you update it online once and every future tap shows the latest version. Because of that, it is worth reviewing your card every few months to keep it accurate.
A good digital business card is not about showing everything. It is about showing the right things in the right order so each tap leads somewhere useful.
